Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of blackcatrobotics.com, the TechMedix dashboard, API, mobile app, and integrations (including the Muse connector) (the "Service"), operated by BlackCat Robotics, Houston, Texas.

1. The service

TechMedix provides predictive maintenance and fleet intelligence for robots: telemetry ingestion, failure detection, repair guidance, parts lookup, and work-order dispatch. The TechMedix Core diagnostics engine is open source under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0; the hosted dashboard, API, and managed plans are commercial services under these terms.

2. Accounts and API keys

You are responsible for activity under your account and for safeguarding API keys. Keys are shown once at creation and stored as hashes.
Revoke a compromised key immediately in the dashboard; we may also revoke keys we believe are compromised.
API use is subject to rate limits (default 100 requests/minute per customer per route). We may throttle or suspend abusive usage.

3. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to access other customers' fleets, circumvent authentication, or probe the Service for vulnerabilities without written permission.
Do not use the Service to control robots or safety-critical systems in ways that could cause physical harm. TechMedix provides guidance; you remain responsible for safe operation and for verifying repairs with qualified technicians.
Do not resell API access except under a written partnership agreement.

4. Muse connector and third-party integrations

If you connect TechMedix to Muse or another third-party service, you authorize the data transfers needed to fulfill your requests, subject to the permissions you grant in that service. Third-party services are governed by their own terms; we are not responsible for them.

5. Parts store and payments

Parts purchases are processed by Stripe under Stripe's terms. Prices are in USD. Shipping, taxes, and availability are shown at checkout. Returns follow the policy stated at purchase.

6. Intellectual property

We retain all rights to the Service except for open-source components licensed as stated. You retain all rights to your fleet data.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is". Predictive diagnostics are probabilistic guidance, not guarantees — a missed or false prediction does not make us liable for downtime or damage. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

You may cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these terms, with notice where practicable. Upon termination you may request export or deletion of your data per our Privacy Policy.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas.

10. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
